Dear Friends:
It is with great pride that we announce THE 21st YEAR of our “Neighbors in Need” program. This program was started by our employees as an effort to give back to the community. We try to give our less fortunate neighbors, in Emmet County, a great Thanksgiving dinner! The names of families are given to us through the Salvation Army, local churches, Manna Food Project, Harbor Springs Food Bank, Petoskey club, Nehemiah house and the Women’s Resource Center. In addition, we work closely with Harbor Springs’ teachers to seek families who would not request aid but are grateful to be recipients. New to 2023, we will be donating cash donations to the Northmen Den Youth.
We anticipate distributing 70-100 Thanksgiving dinners. In order to feed these families, we need your help. Whether it is a small donation or a full turkey dinner, every donation is appreciated. With the help of individual, family and business donations last year we set our goal at $14,000 and we just missed that goal so, we will try again for $14,000. The need is great and we hope to be able to continue this worthwhile endeavor. We understand that your days seem to be full of solicitations from many worthwhile organizations, but we hope that you will consider helping us with our commitment to the less fortunate families in our area.
It is always our hope that the spirit of generosity will spread, so please share this cause with anyone you think would like to help. Your support and charity are greatly appreciated!
