Please check in at the host stand at The Pier Restaurant for your Pointer Boat ride or at the gate at the end of the pier if the restaurant is not open. The Captain or First Mate will meet you there. If your boat ride is during the hours that the restaurant is closed, guests will have access to the restrooms.

Only food & beverages purchased at The Pier Restaurant are permitted on the Pointer Boat. We take orders via phone from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM daily and only serve food per the Pier's regular business hours. You will find the Pointer Boat food and beverage menu attached to this email or at pointerboat.com We do offer our extended bottled wine list as well.  Please ask the Pointer Boat host about those options when you call.

Please order at most 1 week in advance and at least 24 hours in advance. If you do not order with 24-hour notice, The Pier staff will not be able to accommodate last-minute orders.

Food and Beverage orders are made by calling 231-881-8048.  We ask that you do not call The Pier Restaurant to make those orders.  Thank you in advance. 

Bottled & canned non-alcoholic beverages (Coke products, lemonade, iced tea, coffee), beer, and wine may be purchased ONLY through The Pier restaurant ahead of time.  Only food and beverages purchased through The Pier are permitted on the boat.  This policy is in place due to our MLCC licensing and the Health Department of Northwest Michigan. Your cooperation is appreciated in advance.  Any unopened beverages can be left with you at the end of your boat tour. Menu availability may change without notice and is subject to availability. Please note there is an automatic 20% gratuity added to the pre-tax total of your food and beverage order. 

Please arrive 5 to 15 minutes prior to your scheduled departure. The captain will hold the boat a maximum of 5 minutes past the time scheduled. The Coast Guard requires children 6 and under to always have a life vest on. You may bring your own life vests for the children, or we will provide one for you. Any children over the age of 6 months are considered a full guest on the boat.  They will need to have a paid ticket.  If you join us with over 12 people in your group, you will not be able to board and will not be able to receive a refund.  Only 12 people will be able to board, so your party needs to be planned accordingly. This policy is in place due to the Coast Guard.  This policy is not up for discussion.

Tickets are non-refundable.  As posted on our website, only the captain determines if a boat excursion is cancelled. If the Captain cancels due to adverse weather or mechanical issues, we will call you that day and offer to reschedule or refund your trip. 
PLEASE MAKE SURE THE PHONE NUMBER THAT YOU GIVE US IS REACHABLE THE DAY OF YOUR BOAT TOUR. THIS IS IN THE CASE WE HAVE TO CONTACT YOU ABOUT CANCELLING OR RESCHEDULING
